Here comes XXRAY PLUS, the latest addition to our designer figure series. With the same concept as XXRAY and as part of the collaboration with world renowned artist Jason Freeny, the XXRAY PLUS is of a larger size (20 cm tall) that offers collectors an in-depth look into the skeletal structure and anatomical beauty of all the chosen characters.
Traditionally known as the Imperial Guardian Lions and often called “Foo Dogs” in the West, they are one of the most common representations of lion in Imperial China. It comes in a pair and there’s a saying from Chinese belief that the most auspicious placement is the female on the left and male on the right, displaying them together in a room instead of apart. The female guardian lion is a symbol of a nurturing spirit which is often shown with one paw on a cub. Whereas the male holds a ball which can be translated as possessing the world under his paw.
